Photography captures the past, present, and future in an instant. Exploring the world around them, these photographers communicate new and undiscovered perspectives on foreign territory both near and far - paths ahead revealed. Through their contemporary lenses, our diverse planet is revered and celebrated in documentary, abstract, and conceptual photography.

This public art exhibition is presented at Wiota Street Garden, an urban farm and vegetable market in West Philadelphia, to share a multiplicity of perspectives through photography and connect with the vibrant local community. The Garden Party and Reception is open to all and will feature light refreshments alongside the weekly vegetable market in this beautiful, green oasis in Philadelphia.

The 20/20 Photo Festival will be taking place again in September 2022 in Philadelphia and online. With the theme Community; 20/20 is a unique, citywide celebration of photography in all of its forms. The festival will function within a local, national, and international context, reflecting the diversity of contemporary photography and how can bring communities together. Exhibitions and programming, designed for both photographers and the general public, will provide opportunities for the exchange of ideas and artistic expression.

About the Festival
The 20/20 Photo Festival was conceptualized by a small but dedicated group of Philadelphia-area photographers and photo organizations, including members from Gravy Studios, The Halide Project, and Wanderlife Gallery. For more information, visit: https://www.2020photofestival.org/

Photo West Gallery is an exhibition space that offers Philadelphia area photographers an opportunity to engage diverse audiences by showing their work in a salon-like setting. Its openings the second Friday of each month coincide with University City's Left of Center program. Exhibitions are intended to encourage lively and concentrated interactions where poets and performing artists are part of the mix to make photo openings a place where art boundaries are crossed. Teachers at local high schools are invited to bring their students on 2nd Fridays to meet the exhibiting artists and learn more about the works on display.

Photo West Gallery is just west of Drexel University and north of the University of Pennsylvania, on the Lancaster Avenue edge of Powelton Village, a neighborhood rich in artists, performers, and residents engaged in Philadelphia's cultural and community life.
